I reread the post it is a twin Turbo R3 w8

I can believe that. The twin turbo's are what most are doing from what I see and hear.

Update.... it's been a little bit but we had to rethink a couple of things.  I wanted to go with 3/8 push rods but different angle in this block than the Keith Black so we decided to go with the 5/16 and massage the heads a bit. Of course they weren't off the shelve so they are being made and should come in next Monday or Tuesday. We are then going to spin the block to check for proper oiling. We had a road block with the oil adapter line to the block but got lucky with a photo on eBay and was able to track down what we needed. Again had to modify it because if it got screwed in to far it would block flow. If all goes well we will be putting heads on and by next weekend it might just be a motor.      :woohoo:

YaHoo after all of the struggles it will be good to have it built finally  :cooldance:

Push rods still not in, hopefully soon. Oil adaptor fits nicely but looks like we might have to figure something out for the lower radiator hose.....  :looney: I have an electric fuel pump so just need to use the block of plate but will have to see about removing some of that tab off.   :Thud:

I wonder if a spacer or this one will help with the lower rad hose connection?

I had to make custom rad hoses for my set up and used this place. I also used there PTFE fuel lines and fittings. I'm happy quality wise, been on the car 5-10 years now with no issues. Hope that helps you some.

Yes one thing after another....... :bricks:

Brad - that is a great site. THANKS!  I have been thinking about fabbing up an upper rad hose and now this might help all the way around. It also gives me ideas to remove the meth inj and install a water/air system. I understand they are more reliable and are constant. Unlike the water meth inj were it depends on boost.  :bradsthumb: :drinkingbud:

I suspect that those pumps are meant to be run with a spacer plate. Which one depends on what style block you have.1991 and up Magnum style or  traditional.  I suspect that is why your having an issue with the lower rad hose not clearing?

EDIT: Just a thought but one of those spacers might also allow you to run a stock type water pump on your set up as you could machine away where the impeller was contacting on your timing cover?
I know you already have the electric one but the idea just popped into my head....?

Thanks Brad, sorry I meant to reply earlier. I looked into the spacer and called Meziere. I am adding one and that should take care of the issue. It will also help with the fuel pump tab. UNFORTUNATELY..... I came across the next issue.  Found out the headers that I have from my old application, some of the tubes don't work well. One tube on the passenger side comes right across the oil outlet line. And another one hits this block. Soooooooo a little more fabbing up or something. I wish I could just make up nw stainless steel headers but just don't have any extra $1800 - $2000 laying around.

I am hoping that is just the case. Really it will have to be. The headers aren't in great shape and they are old but I just need to get this completed and broken in.

Well, it's been a little bit since I have updated this post. You know.... life.... We have started to re-route some of the header tubes that we know need minimal work however we can't do much past that until the engine is complete and in the car. The spacer came in so I believe the rest can be bolted on and then turned over for a leak check.  If there are no issues there then on to the dyno.  But the way schedules are I'm betting not for another 1.5 months.  My hopes at this point is for a month.   :bricks:  I am a little worried that the milling of the push rod journals are a bit much and may compromise the area but may be I am just paranoid with all the other issues that have come up. The push rod is the only thing that moves in that area and once the intake is bolted on to the head that should back it up.

OK while I sit here waiting on an MRI. I thought I would give an update. Slow but steady right... :Thud: some header pipes need work with the new block.
