avatar_cuda hunter @cuda hunter I couldn't agree more - I have my parents living with me full time, so being able to be that support and spend as much time as possible is priceless -
I am a firm believer in "it is just stuff".. unfortunately I think the ship has sailed for the '40 - by the time it would be drivable it will unfortunately be too late.  So, with all the help hear, the words of encouragement and kind words I have a plan - finish the metal work, and re-organize and see what I can do financially - if I have to assemble it in bare metal and enjoy it for a while, I will.

As soon as it is out of the shop, the '40 goes in for its metal work, and I will get that one done with my son in honor of my father - I hope!

But the '40 I know for a fact is rust free with the exception of the top trunk seal channel, and I already have the replacement panel from another car.  Other than that is needs new floors and trunk floor because it has mini tubs (made out of the original fender wells) and the floor has been hacked up about 1000 times by teenagers fitting every type of transmission known to man over the years :D

If I could only advise those teens now - - or, more correctly if my brother and I had only known then what we know now :))

Thanks EVERYONE who commented - I have some new energy going into the end of the year!
