Carlisle!  That would be cool!
Hope you can pull that off!
If you go I do have a vendor location N5 that can be used for parts storage or pick up.

Still finishing paint buffing, blackouts done, side and tail lights in, both side mirrors in, side windows in. Started doing a little bowl smoothing too while figuring out what I'll do for build specs.

Looks beautiful!  Nice progress!
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy horsepower and that's kind of the same thing.....

Rear bumper (repro) and valance installed. A few stickers installed. Front bumper brackets needed a little tweaking, but all good now, front original bumper installed w/valance

I scored a good deal! I've been waiting for the vendor (Clifford) to restock these, they keep telling me 'any week now'. This unused set just popped up for 200 less, one more big item for the engine knocked out.

So the build will be a 4bbl intake, Edelbrock AVS2 500, headers, big valve head, a little hotter cam, block and head milled. Shooting for 200hp +/-

Oh man!  That is a sweet score!

I think it's just too cool to not put in a v8.
That leaning tower of power will be awesome to rock!

Intake painted, headers also high temp painted inside and out. Started placing some sound deadener. I also finished a set of 3D printed Rallye wheel center caps for myself.

99% printed, the top center is a brushed stainless steel piece + 'correct' argent Rallye wheel paint, 'chrome' UV cured paint. I went through the design phase because I was too cheap to buy two more reproductions. Unfortunately the amount of time that it takes to print a set of these (40+ hrs and then post processing time after that) doesn't really make it feasible to offer them for resale, I just can't compete on the price of real metal reproductions for these. They are kind of cool though for my needs and they weigh over 1 lb less than the originals. I did send one down to Florida free for evaluation and testing in the heat and humidity, but again it's mainly just an interesting thing for me at this point I guess.

They look great!!
Curious how they workout in the heat and humidity of Florida.

I was going back through my 'binder', interesting that dad paid $1600 for it in '73. I have all the registrations up through '87 when he parked it. $91 for 6 months insurance

I also found an envelope with something that you Old-Timers might recognize. I wish the store was still around

Finished installing most of the sound deadening and insulation. Floor/firewall/roof received a 1st layer butyl deadening material, 2nd is a butyl/foam/foil sandwich - both by a company called Siless. Also applied some of both to the doors, wheel wells and speaker shelf. Boommat carpet underlayment. 3M SM400 was used on the roof and will be the layer behind the door panels. Took days to install, but should be well worth the time and cost for a quieter and more insulated interior.

Also finished up the front end. New or rebuilt *everything* except the center link and torsion bars. Dr Diff front disc conversion kit. 16:1 manual steering box. Fully rebuilt lower and upper control arms. Bilsteins all around. It's coming back together!!  :tool:
