#45
just a quick timeline and progress update. So much to do and so little time to get things done. I'm moving 5hrs away in a month, so I need to get some big things done. Thankfully my painter is helping, more than he should and big kudos to him because my injuries make some things very unpleasant now.

Yesterday the machine shop finished the block and head - need to pick up and rebuild (all parts ready to go!); yesterday my diff rebuild was also finished, need to install it; brightwork finally almost finished after dropping it off in November. I decided to stop trying to install the Vintage Air system for now, getting a little frustrated, short on time and it's impeding my progress, I'll just deal with it later so I can get most of the interior in. So much stuff happening at once - when it rains, it pours  :o

Dash is installed! I installed the Vintage Air box just as a placeholder, but can't hook any of it up yet, too much other stuff to try and get done just so it can roll onto a trailer for the trip to the new house.

Probably spring with the way things are going. I have tons of things ready to go, but too much to do by myself. especially with some of the health issues now, so it'll take a while to get it together now

Slow and steady wins the race.
The move isn't going to help with the progress either.
Are you upgrading your garage with the move?

1st thing I'm doing before moving in is putting down epoxy. Next year I plan on putting a 2 post lift in, insulating and finishing it for better all year use.

Today(ish) is the 56th birthday of the Slantfish, born around Aug 20th 1969. My original goal was to have it finished by its 50th birthday, then Covid hit and things went to shit. Then the next goal was to have it done by its 55th birthday, then my happy ass got ran over and I might have been able to get it done, but my painter took way too freaking long holding it at his shop with limited time for me to work on it. However, I'm very confident that I will have it on the road by next summer.

Got the long block together with a little help from friends, tomorrow we drop it all in. No test firing until probably spring, but at least it'll make transporting everything to the new place easier.

I love the blues, but sometimes I think it's too much. I can't wait to install the Plymouth lower side stripes, that'll help break things up a little bit.

The Mopar mating ritual is complete! Now I just have to wait a few hours for my friend to get off work and we're going to drop it in.
