Here is a pic of the other side and I believe the bolt is part of the triangle.

Here's a photo from Edward Blauvelt on the Facebook Group.  Really nice the way he has it set up.  Thought it might be helpful to anyone looking at this thread.

I think the regulator & the lower track section are reversed...

This is very helpful to me.Is there a place I could by the fuzzy material that goes on the small braces, mine is all worn out.

Cuda Cody

@Gerry  you can get the felt at your local fabric store and glue it in place..  If you need new rubber up stops you can get them here:

Good luck!   :drinkingbud:

Here's how I do it....I love installing E Body door glass it's my favorite part of the re-assembly. :inlove:

Assemble all the latches, rods, handles, etc...first.
Install the regulator with the horizontal track on it.
Install the rear track (the one in question here)
Install the large front track lower "L" bracket only.

Then slide the front track on the glass and hold it with your hand while you slide the glass in. Hook the glass on the rear track, bolt in the front track and horizontal track and away you go...

Install the upstops, window guides and the window fuzzie.
"With those blue wedges you'll never slide it in from the top. Bolt the rear channel in the door....Once the glass is in the door, just move it backwards and literally "hook it on"..."

If anybody follows Alan's directions here your life will will good.  No need to look any further! He did add a little caveat down on the thread further that I wished i had seen so I will put it here. Thank you Alan!

the rear plate with the short slide & 2 nut on it will move up & down & correct the angle of the top of the glass  I know ,, no pix  :Thud:

So it's good practice to adjust the rear guide plate up or down as needed? I just installed one of my door glasses and can't seem to get it to roll up high enough with ease. I can force it but it's not right. Stops are loose at this point so it's not that. The problem is that the two plastic wedges meet up before glass reaches needed height.

When I saw this post I realized that I could lower the plate a bit if possible. Doesn't need much.

This is a great thread and thanks for all the help.

Well I think I just answered my own question after taking some pics of the rear track guide bracket. The plastic rear stop that goes through the stabilizer guide plate will not allow you to move it up or down. See pics

Aar1064

This is what is causing the problem I think. Wedges are keeping glass from coming up as high as needed. 1st pic.

I've raised the rear track as high as I can.

2nd pic is where it stops from the front track perspective.

Upper stop brackets are loose at this point.

Maybe raising the idler arm pivot bracket will do it.

Off topic, but what type of grease is everyone using on tracks and rollers?

Like Cody suggested, white lithium grease.  Not the spray, the paste that comes in a tube.
