My Rockers came today.

I have a set of those that are going in the motor this fall.  You might want to run a tap through each of the push-rod adjuster threads and then use a paper clip and compressed air to clear the oiling holes.  Mine had a few chips and junk in the holes. Detail now will pay off in the future. Seem to be nice pieces though.

Thanks for the tip!

Went to turn the motor over yesterday so I could see the cam lobes and it wouldn't go. Pulled the battery out and had it charged. Pulled the plugs today and put the battery
back in. tapped it over several times to look at the cam lobes. One ramp on cyl. #7 exhaust looked a little funky but no gouges or anything I can feel with my finger nail. I think we'll go with it.

Car was put on the road for the first time in 30 years on Wednesday night.  Went down to a car show. It was a sail boat on the road. So today I installed a new set of shocks front and rear. Tall about a filthy job! My arms were black all the way to my shoulders! Lol but they are installed. I went with kyb. I know most people say they are too stiff. I didnt know thay til I already had the shocks at my house. I do alot of road racing with my other car so im used to stiff suspension.  Guess ill find out tomorrow how she rides. Im too filthy to get into the white interior tonight.  And it's almost 2 am.  This job took damn near 4 hours!! These shocks were so hard to compress to get the damn bolts in.  Jesus H! Im beat.  Outta make a big difference.  The sears heavy duty RT shocks have given up the ghost for sure.

Also discovered the field wire on the alternator was disconnected.  Maybe I can run the lights now! Lol

I picked up a 10 hour Saturday on time and a half so I could make a down payment to PPG! Technically, that's what I'm doing for my Mopar until this evening.

Yesterday I finally got my Cuda up and running.  Checked fluids, tires, and gave it a mild cleaning.  I had it on a charger all year.  It was a little slow to start, but did easy enough.  I ran a few miles down the road to buy some corn.  Then got a fresh tank of gas.  Then stopped to buy steaks.  Thats when the battery said no way and was too dead to crank.  A  local ambulance was parked next to me in the lot, so I hit those guys up for a jump to get home.  I spent a few minutes tracking down a new battery and did the mad dash to the store before it closed.  Its installed and ready to head to a local show today.
I forgot how hard this thing pulls with the outboard carbs kicked in!!  What fun!!  Way faster than the little vintage motorcycle I have been racing these past few weeks.  It should be a good day kicking it in a park with a couple of beers and some concession stand food, and bench racing for the afternoon.

Put about 400 miles on the Cuda this weekend to check out a show and classic cruise in Vernon, TX.

Knocked down about 19mpg with the a/c blasting [100°+] ambient and 80+ mph cruising speeds.

Finally got a ride  in this today. I spent a couple solid months helping my buddy Mike put this back together. Wow what a machine!  :drooling: Sure is rewarding to see the fruits of a lot of labor!
