Took my latest addition out for its first cruise.

Love the Bee!
Is it me or does that Challenger look small next to the Cuda?  Seems like it is 7/8 scale in those pics.

Went thru the underside and re tightened some bolts and just checking everything out.
Locktite is your friend on some applications.

Bad news is my Dr. Diff Dana is making some noises.

To be continued...
Just wondering , what was the outcome of this?

So a week ago or so, I said there may be Diff issues.
Yet the whole time, I was feeling the trans might be the issue.

@jamesroney & I took it out and I showed him when the growl would happen around 2,500 RPM.
He pointed out it happens only in 2nd & 3rd and disappears on 4th.

So I plan to pull it out and James said he'll help me re build it.
I never re built a M/T before. Did a A/T before.

I will do a separate thread soon as I have questions on what to do and what I need.

@Brads70

It's so much quieter now since it was re built.

Long distance drives are easily doable now.

I went to another local cruise night. Fell in love with this ......

71-440

Well a couple weeks ago I heard a knocking coming from the top of the motor.  Consulted with my Mopar mechanic. :vipermanhiding:
What I found was a couple lifters had failed. Plus some discrepancies in the way the roller rockers were setup.
So I ordered a new set of Lunati Micro-Trol lifters and going to order tomorrow a new SS roller rocker kit.
I also got a Pushrod length checker to see if my PR'S are the correct length. I have one pushrod that showed galling on the ball end. Lifter was fine though.

The lifters came out fine no scaring or galling on the bottoms. Preliminary observation on the cam looks fine also. But I am going to turn it over and inspect the lobes a little more closely.

I have been working on my deck when the weather is good and got a little busy with the business so it's taking longer
than I would like. But I am also learning as I go so I am taking my time and I got a good teacher.....

A big thank you to @Chryco Psycho for all the help so far. I wouldn't have got this far if it wasn't for him.

Went for a cruise yesterday with some friends to see a guy with a Studebacher and memorabilia collection. I'll deal with that in another thread. One guy had an 05 Hemi Magnum.

Cleaned her up for an upcoming show and road tested her and found some serious fuel issues. Had a ton of compliments at the gas station when filling up and got the "Hey is that a Camero?" question while I just pointed at the license plate and shook my head. Lapped it around the block and had some fun with some rice rockets - got home and heard some dripping noise. Popped the hood and was looking for coolant, oil, trans fluid and nothing. Then I looked at the back of the car and holy crap - grabbed a pan and threw it under there. Got the problem fixed permanently now  - let's just say I'm not a big fan of the fuel return line.

If I can get some time between work and moving my daughter out to college I could actually put AFR on it!!!

Went out just for a quick drive..... then you know how it goes, beautiful summer night, tunes cranked , car running great. I ended up in Wasaga Beach, about 40 minutes from home. Run into a few like minded folks ..... Fun night! Engine loved the cool night air!  :burnout:

Used an awl to mark off the frame rails on the new trunk floor; measured and drilled the holes in the new trunk pan for the plug welds. :wrenching:
