Unless your sure its the pan leaking, I'd start it up in neutral ( pump works better than when in park) and run it for a few minutes to make sure its not the torque convertor draining back after sitting for so long and leaking out the dipstick tube seal. Cheap enough to try....

Yesterday I got the stroker crank into the block and got 4 piston/rod combos in and on the crank. Today I went out of my financial mind and ordered a new Milodon extended capacity oil pan and pick up and then went and tracked down pipe plugs and hose nipples for the intake, so for a few weeks I'll be eating the old KD it looks like!  :(

"  LOL You know that "sending" Trudy anywhere is, as Inspector Clueseau? says, a "shallenge" . I do see where you're coming from regarding the parts thing, though. My Scottish heritage comes to the forefront and she's Dutch, so we never had a chance anyways. LOL I'm becoming better at spending the kid's inheritance.  :))

In the proper spirit of the thread, I got the other 4 pistons hung, after discovering that I'd put one on the rod the wrong way. DOH! Luckily, I had one spare circlip left and all's well that ends well, eh?  :looney:

Today I worry about my e-bodies. Huge fire right across the street from the space I rent. Going on right now. Whole area is blocked off, I see on the news that they are trying to make the fire not spread to surrounding buildings... :o
Tons of firetrucks there and I see a big black smoke cloud from my house, 6 miles away.
My 70 Challenger, my 70 Barracuda and my wifes 65 Barrcuda is in there. Hopefully I still have them tomorrow.

UPDATE: Next morning. Fire under control, and my cars are safe  :bigthumb:

I finely had the front wheels come in, so a little mock up to see how things were going to fit, even though it was on the rear. Also checked center cap and caliper clearances.

I spent all afternoon screwing around looking for tools and parts. I finally found the deck bridge and dial indicator and horseshoe and the degree wheel, but the three boxes of junk and assorted ka-ka that I went through only turned up a bit of the stuff I was looking for. Anybody have the lengths of the timing cover bolts handy? I know they're 3/8ths and I have the 3 lower and shorter ones. I'm sure glad that I read the thread about running a bolt into #1 cylinder because when I measured it, there was only .650" of depth! Yikes!  :cheers:

Fired it up for the first time in 2022! Too much snow to even get it out of the garage, but it started  after filling the bowls and ran nice and smooth..... :woohoo:
