I did a short [100mi] trip today and checked the fuel economy. At 70-80mph cruising I ended up with 22mpg!

Wow, nice to have the lift!
Wish my garage had the ceiling height for one.
Use it in good health! :ohyeah:

Starting cleaning up the rear axle, and documenting the factory markings that are still in evidence.  :wrenching:

The sun was shining, it was dry as a popcorn fart, so I got the old gal out and drove it to Kitchener for gas ($1.16/ltr) and Chinese broccoli. When I stopped at Timmy's for a tea, I realized just how much dust the poor old thing had on it. My boys put a new choke cable on it and that makes it easier to keep 'er lit when she's cold.

The brand is 'Direct Lift'. They are made by Rotary lifts. Capacity 9000 pounds. The concrete is 8" thick in my garage but
according to the manual you only need 4". And I have  10' ceiling.
It sure is nice not moving a floor jack around to lift the car up. Position the the pads and you lift the car to wherever you want in less than a minute.
Although I have to admit, the first lift took a long time as I checked and rechecked everything. First only lifting it and inch or so off the floor.
Then a foot....recheck....another foot...recheck.
As for where I bought it, Brads70 got me in touch with one of his friends who sells lifts here in Ontario. Bargain Automotive I think its called.

Dropping the kids off at daycare this morning, another yellow Plymouth arrived. We must be cool dads. Haha

72 Challenger

My 72 Challenger is rotisserie restored and has a late 72 build date so the engine should be blue. For simplicity the original owner kept the engine orange. Drove me mad so...before and after a coat of Corporate Blue. I also hate the look of  aluminum intakes.

Someday I will have a J0b.
