What a legacy of parts to pass on to the Mopar fraternity in general, sounds like Ben was a nice guy and always sad to hear of someone passing...i hope all that attend manage to acquire that special part that they have been looking for and put it to good use.

Would love to see a collection of this magnitude...sadly i'm on the wrong side of the world lol

I have a feeling some of those engines will be sold cheap.   

The correct answer is - drum roll - 68!  Unbelievable how many engines he had.  Think I'm over 15 340's now, found a 69 440 hp today.

Awesome thanks for the info rocketresto! I'm waiting to see what my buddy says, if he wants to go or not and I'll talk to him and give him this info. I won't be bidding on any high dollar cars, I'll leave that to others with much deeper pockets than me. I live in WA state so the tax will be the same for me. I will look at the catalog as soon as it's up.

Is a buyers premium just a fee they tack on?

If a item is bought online, can the item be packed and shipped or is that up to the buyer? Would be a huge task with the auction itself being a huge task.

I'm sure Roadkill (and by that I mean Hot Rod Magazine and by that I mean Peterson Publishing) is just selling the article for MSN to use.  It is great car porn. 

Anlauto - you keep saying the treasures won't go cheap.  While I agree the hemi stuff won't go cheap, the rat roaster intakes probably won't but 30-40 sure grip pumpkins are not all going to go for $400 (which is the going price around here).  The 10-20 steel crank 440's aren't all going to go for $500 a piece.  My point is some of this stuff is going to go for reasonable prices.  Just went through the exhaust manifolds yesterday and found about 20 sets of HP manifolds (the Big Block A-Body ones will obviously however).  The sheer volume means they won't all go for top dollar.  Just separated the heads today - want a 3 pallet's of 906 heads?  I don't.  Want a giant apple crate of starters and alternators?  Sure a few good ones are in there but we don't have the time to separate them.

I think you have a fair point and hope you are right.  The killer for me will be shipping the goods.  So while I may "watch" the online auction, it will be more out of curiosity then anything.

The flip side of course, as more and more people get wind of the auction, more and more people will show up and likely drive the prices up.  Great for the family, not so much for the little guy like me.

Got all the 4 speeds labeled yesterday, here are the VIN's off them.  One blank pad 18 spline and the "9G29?273" is probably 9G290273 which is a known car.  Friend of mine sold it about 5 years ago to a guy in the midwest.  It is originally a Washington car, anybody know a 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T T5 with white interior?
