I work for a 140 million dollar domestic, family owned manufacturer.  In the last 10 years they have invested 60 million dollars back into the company as far as technology goes.  In all of that money invested on technology not one job was eliminated.  They re-train and move employees into other areas.  I think that's impressive and they are very proud of that fact.

So technology isn't all that bad it does have it's merits.  It has kept us competitive in a global market.
