Took the Challenger in for paint.
Trunk getting the black bedliner ground out and painted to match the body color.


While the car was in the paint shop... a little homework for me.


Scrubed and scrubed and scrubed some more and then some Chrysler Corporate Blue Engine paint for the 318, Alumablast for the 904 with a clearcoat topcoat for both and some semi-flat black for the K-member and suspension. I'm not a painter so all rattle cans for me.












Now I just need to put it all back together...

Yup, just a grey circle with a horizontal rectangular opening, almost looks like it could be a key slot.

New AMD front and rear bumpers. without the black rubber pads on back and leaving the front Bumperetts off as well.
AMD Dual exhaust valance added. Not what I would call a great fit...  hmmm Also trying to keep cost down. ugh...

Now I just need to put it all back together...

Are you going to swap the diff out too ?

Had excellent exterior paint done by the original owner that is 3-4 years old now.
Car is super straight and smooth.
The original owner put over $40K into the car before I got it including the exterior paint.
It received patches to the floors, new 1 piece trunk floor and extensions, new roof skin, a couple small patches in the quarters, replacement dutchman panel, new vinyl top, new seat covers, new carpet, new front and rear door panels, new Wilwood PFDB, new Firm Feel UCA, new FF Strut Rods, new FF Sway Bar, Vintage Air added, 18" wheels/tires.

Sadly he passed away in 2016. I bought the car from his sister. Almost passed on it due to the trunk, engine compartment and funk under the hood.

Happy that we made the deal and it will be a really nice driver again very soon with the interior, trunk and under the hood looking just as nice as the outside. 

Then I can get back to work on the 69 Barracuda...

Nah, at least not any time soon. Definitley has crossed my mind though.
May clean it up tough. Very low on my to do list. Just want to get it back on the road and drive it for a while.
Going to need some Tunes! Just an empty space where the radio would be.
I removed the Pioneer Cassette Deck.

Looking really good, only complaint is the paint on the fuel filler but I'm betting you have that covered....

Wait for it...
The old filler tube was really pitted baddly. Tried sanding it out but some of the pitting was deeper than I felt comfortable gringing out.

****EDIT****
Was able to crank the cap in with a wrench and it seems to be "Breaking in" Still really tight but can open and close by hand.

One small issue is the 71-74 tube does not accept my inner 70 gas cap. Of Course!
New 71-74 cap ordered.
