Was the Valiant Charger only made for Australia?

F8R/T

Yes , designed and made in Australia . The triple weber carbed six cylinder inline were very fast .

F8R/T

Got the headliner board down and it's in one piece and happy about that.

Very cool pics. I have a similar Yellow with black vinyl top California car but its a small block manual without the window plug and headliner thing. I've done many of the same things your doing and its giving me flashbacks. LOL. I had to rebuild my trunk and replace the roof. Mine had lead filler in the roof seam. That dent you had on the front head light was in the rear quarter above the tail light.

F8R/T

Well the left quarter panel is stripped and fixed the small dents, the quarter was not to bad.

Katfish

Nice, chipping away at it

F8R/T

Well all the paint is stripped off the door and fender, pretty good condition and only some minor dents to be repaired.

F8R/T

Well the left side of the car is done and put on a cheap primer till it goes in for paint.About 6 small dents on the door and fender. Finished the roof and ready to be coated with KBS paint which is similiar to POR 15. Stripped the paint off the dutchman panel and is in perfect condition.I am so lucky with so little rust in this car.

Solid project overall.
Methodical in your approach. I see great results in the end.
Mine also is a Ca. car. So.... nice to have minimal rust issues.
My floors were exactly like yours.

Honestly the body is really good, i have 2 small holes at the bottom of the front screen at the lower frame area and that's the rust done.
Plan to have it high build and blocked ready for base coat and clear for our summer which starts around OCT-NOV. I think the only major problem i have is getting a new 3 speaker dash for the car . ABOUT $5K landed into Australia. These cars are expensive to restore compared to Mustangs and Camaro's.I found out by the original importer of the car that the car lived in the California west and sometime in Nevada.

Removed the left fender to get to the lower front screen frame to repair a rust hole with new metal. The factory did not put much paint in the side area.
I have only 2 small rust holes to repair at the right hand lower screen frame then that is the rust done.

Looking good! My lower window channels were a little more Swiss cheese front right and rear left
The only thing flat earthers fear, is sphere itself.
