Cool 68 project , seems you like to keep busy !!
the 383 is really the least desirable big block even as a stroker the 400 block is a better starting point , the auto trans is worth a few $$ as the big block autos are getting harder to find but condition will dictate value , if it is original it will need to be built for sure .

Do you mean the pins that hold the trim clips on?
Life is to be viewed thru the windshield. Not rear view mirror.
You are the only one in charge of your destiny.

You may or may not be aware of this but do not use panel  bond on the center brace (for the dome light) to hold it tight to the new roof skin. Just use a small bead of 3M urethane seam sealer.  When the panel bond fully cures, it pulls the metal tight.....and leaves a nice mark across your new roof skin.   Ask me how I know. Lol

The roof is on . The only problem now is the front of the roof line is longer. I was going to cut it but i didnt know if it would effect the fit of the front windshield. Since i broke mine taking it out.  I dont have one to test fit so im going to have to order a new front windshield
