Well, after a couple of small changes to the EFI tune and installation of a 1980 Dakota 130 Alternator I got brave and drove the Cuda to work and back, WOW so nice to drive with the EFI, the throttle response and added power is amazing, still need to work a little on the timing table to minimise the small exhaust backfiring coming off the interstate exit. I took a couple of ECU logs so I can look back and see what was going on.
But no fuel leaks, no water leaks, engine temps are fantastic even in traffic on a 33*C hot day, exhaust sound has changed, seems smoother and quieter until you stab on the gas.

Starting to remove wheel well  undercoating and trunk seam sealer for a needed trunk floor replacement!  Why are the trunks on e bodies always in poor condition?
Note the extraordinary patches that were put in 35 years ago!

Unloaded it out of the trailer, BIGS jumped in the passenger seat and we went and had breakfast with Roadman and Toxicwolf. Then we drove to the Mecum auction.  :banana:

Finally, took it out for a 50 mile drive to test for any leaks and to see how the "new" De-clutching 7 blade fan and OEM fan shroud combination worked. Did not overheat in the stop and go traffic and stayed basically at 180 on the freeway.

After now having about 800 miles on the TINFISH, I decided it time to install the Gearvendors Under/Overdrive unit.

The unit is not that much of a job to install once you get the hang of it. I had to cut the exhaust and of course now they will have to be redone.


I decided to go with a shift button in the pistol grip. It requires some machining in the aluminum backbone to hide the wires,removal of the console, drivers seat and front carpet to get the wire routed.


I decided to locate the red and green operation lights in the oem dash holes, since they are not being used.


The control module fits nicely behind the drivers side kicker panel. I opened up the area about it for air flow.

Everything is in now except for shortening the drive shaft and rebuilding the exhaust. So far I am very pleased with their unit.
