Nice! Christmas came early

The present has been delivered!! What a PITA .... my 26' Penske truck got a flat 1/2 way in, had to wait 2.5hrs for the recovery and just rolled in at 1:40 .... I hate moving. Love the bigger garage space though

While doing final garage clean out I found the old plates off the Barracuda, I know he parked it in '87/'88.

Ha, looks like the stickers on my plate.
I have an original plate with 20yrs of stickers stacked.
I should probably try and razor blade 1/2 the stack away next yr.

Nice garage! Unfortunately, they fill up fast.

Too darn fast!! I'm finally starting to get things sorted and organized, had to get this little piece of wall art up first. Sucks downsizing the household by 1/3, but awesome to upsize my garage by 1/3, LOL.

time for an update. Now that I've finally settled in and a little more organized (still a lot to do though, haha) I've been able to really look over the paint and I'm pretty bummed out. I know I was paying for driver quality, but I'm pretty sure I could have laid it down better. Body work is good, paint and clear sucks. Several re-tape/re-spray lines, debris and even a couple hairs in the clear, dry spray in a couple areas, etc. I'm attempting to wet sand it and correct the flaws that I can, but I'm an amateur so I might make it worse, but nothing else I can do at this point but try. Definitely puts a huge damper on my motivation though.

Yikes: I don't consider myself a painter but I think I could have done better than that. Nothing to do but finesse what you can...

I hope you didn't pay a big price for that.  In the end, you can still drive it and enjoy it.

yeah ... I paid a lot. Nothing I can do about it now but bitch and moan and move forward. It really sucks though. Maybe I'll just do a wrap on it in a couple years or something, I don't know I'll figure it out eventually.

In the meantime I'm trying to stay motivated, polished up my passenger side drip rail molding today - it's the only piece I failed to drop off to my trim restoration guy, and now he's 5 hours away so another thing I just have to deal with.

I'm still playing the wet sanding/polishing game, I just got the rest of the goodies that I think I'll need to finish it.

I also realized that I never put my engine build information in here for future reference.

.030 overbore, .030 off the block, .060 off the head. Head got a mild port and gasket match, standard size valves but I had them back cut, 340 springs with comp cams retainers - 48cc chambers. Entire assembly balanced (I'm pretty shocked at how much material was removed off towards the front of the crank versus the rear).

Deck clearance .163 with a gasket squish to .02 should put me at 9.25:1

JP billet timing set, Dutra RV10 RDP cam, Flowkooler water pump, rebuilt OE oil pump, Offenhauser 4bbl intake, Edelbrock AVS2 500, Clifford headers, distributor setup for HEI, ARP head and rob bolts.

Because of the quick move timing, I just had to drop the long block in and do the move. So I still have to put a lot back together. At least I have all the parts to do it.
