Lock tight might be a good idea, the way i abuse my shifter i would use removable lock tight.  :alan2cents:

Yes: Locktite them and do not overtorque them as that can cause shifter bind. Two levers are in the wrong spot and when you put the reverse lever on, point it up.

I agree with Sheldon the levers with 2 holes are the 1-2 & 3-4 levers , the single hole is the reverse one & all 3 point up unless you are using the A833 OD version , I believe the dog leg lever goes on the front to clear the shorter 1-2 rod as well
The shifter mount plate only fits one way & you have it right  & yes use locktite

If you haven't done it yet.  Now might be a good time to disassemble your shifter, clear the plates and reassembly, especially if it hasn't been done in the past 50 years.  That original lube used at the factory can get pretty solidified and loose it's lubrication abilities.  Not that hard to do.  I have pics of when I did mine.  If you need them let me know and I'll post them.  :bigthumb:

That video is probably the best instruction you can get.  If you're like me, it's easier to visualize and learn than just read about it.  My advice would be to take numerous pictures of your shift assembly from every possible angle so that in case you forget or have a question about how something fits, you can go back and refer back at your pics.  The other thing is as you take it apart, lay the pieces in the sequence they came out and in the proper orientation to the rest of the parts; ie side to side or back to back or front to front.  The first pic below is of my shifter before disassembly and cleaning.  The second shows the various shims/parts, still dirty, laid out as they came out of the shifter and orientated to each other as they came out.  Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics of the shims/parts after they were cleaned and re-lubed.  However, I did take several pics of the assembled and cleaned shifter from various angles showing how it went back together.  Just take you time.  It's not that hard as long as you don't rush it and follow these simple rules.  Good luck.  :bigthumb:

Very nice.  That's going to look  very clean under the hood when you're done.

Thanks. I had to get another master cylinder due to that one being a shallow bore master cylinder.
